INTENSIVE MODEL

  1. Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). The model shows a 75% to 80% rate of change from distress to a safe haven and 90% rate of significant improvement.
  2. Attachment style.

  5. Solution-focused therapy.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE BREAKTHROUGH MARRIAGE INTENSIVE

  1. You and your partner will complete the intake session and complete two assessments prior to Intensive.
  2. Couples’ intensives begin at 9:30 am and end at 4 pm
  3. A lunch break to relax and refuel.
  4. Self-reflection: A time to process all you have worked on.
  5. You will be given an exercise to expand and solidify what you are learning.
  6. At the end of your Intensive, you will collaborate with your counselor as to a follow-up plan to encourage your continued growth and maturity, as well as maintain the changes in your marriage.

Day one

Agenda

  1. Relationship Assessment: 1.5 hours to determine the strength and growth areas of the relationship.
  2. Individual sessions: 2 hours are individual sessions to explore the personal history, childhood issues, and attachment style.
  3. 2 hours- to explore the presence of pain and hurt.
  4. Negative communicative pattern: a 2-hour session to figure out your negative communication pattern. Then we will take another break, and then wrap up the day.

Day Two

  1. 1-hour treatment planning.
  2. 1-hour Healing process psychoeducation.
  3. 2-hour Forgiveness intervention process.
